This is a casual walk on the wild side looking for, identifying, and watching birds at Bass Ponds, starting at 6:00 p.m. Bass Ponds is just SE of the Mall of America. At the light on 24th Avenue (extension of Old Shakopee Rd – or is it the reverse) and 86th Street, turn east a block and then go straight onto the one lane road for about 70 yards to the parking area. Dress casual and for the wether. Comfortable sures or boots; we don’t do any bushwhacking. Try to leave whites and bright clothes at home. Bring binoculars if you have them, a smile for looks, and a friendly attitude. Membership in Rovers is not required and beginning birders (or those curious to find out what it’s about and who does this type of thing) are welcome. E-mail or call if you have questions.
