Birding Walk

Wed, 5:00amMay 252011
Description:

A casual, low key, cooperative event to view and talk about birds. Meet at Crosby Farm Park at 6:00 p.m. Wear comfortable and appropriate clothing for the weather, especially shoes or boots. There may be some mud, but it shouldn’t be deep. Try to leave whites and bright clothes at home. Bring binoculars if you have them, a smile for looks, and a friendly attitude. Membership in Rovers is not required and beginning birders (or those curious to find out what it’s about and who does this type of thing) are welcome.

Meet at the parking lot at the end of Crosby Farm Road which parallels Shepard Rd. From Rt 5 (7th Street West), just east of the bridge over the Mississippi River (very close to the confluence with the Minnesota River), take the exit onto Gannon Rd which crosses Shepard Road and becomes Crosby Farm Road. See Google map for assistance. Estimated cost: $0. Max trip size: Unlimited.
