Birding Walk

Thu, 5:00amMay 202010
Description:

This is a casual walk to identify and watch birds at Old Cedar Bridge, starting at 6:30 p.m. The Old Cedar Bridge is located in Bloomington by taking E. Old Shakopee Road (24th Ave) either going south from the Mall of America or exiting Cedar Avenue (Highway 77) and head southwest to the first stoplight at Old Cedar Ave S. — turn left toward the River. The Bridge and parking lot are about 0.5 mile from the stoplight. We will meet at the parking lot. Dress casual and for the weather. Wear comfortable shoes or boots; we don’t do any bushwhacking. There may be some mud, but it won’t be deep. Try to leave whites and bright clothes at home. Bring binoculars if you have them, a smile for looks, and a friendly attitude. Membership in Rovers is not required and beginning birders (or those curious to find out what it’s about) are welcome. E-mail or call if you have questions. Estimated cost: $0.
