Late afternoon casual and low key trips to view and talk about birds. We will visit local parks and other areas where birds are often readily observed and include a ersity of species.
Meet at 6:00 p.m. in the parking lot on the north end of Old Cedar Bridge in Bloomington. This area is also referred to as the Historic Cedar Avenue Minnesota River Crossing and also the Long Meadow Bridge. It can be located by taking E. Old Shakopee Road (aka 24th Ave) in Bloomington either going south from the Mall of America or exiting Cedar Avenue (aka Highway 77). From the intersection of Cedar Avenue and Old Shakopee Road head southwest (you may think you are going west) to the first stoplight at Old Cedar Ave S.–turn left toward the River. The Bridge and parking lot is about 0.5 mile. We will meet at the parking lot-no, we will not be walking on the bridge; it is closed to all traffic due to safety concerns.
