Wed, 5:00amApr 182012
Description:

Weekly trips begin Wednesday April 18 and continue through the major migration period. They are late afternoon casual and low key trips to view and talk about birds. We will visit local parks and other areas where birds are often readily observed and include a ersity of species.(Occasionally, a trip may switch to Thursday, so watch for weekly trip plans)

The first trip will be at Wood Lake Nature Center in Richfield at 6pm (6710 Lake Shore Dr S Richfield, MN 55423). Basic directions are I35W to W66th Street (=County Rd 53) to Lakeshore Dr. South, on the right (south) side of the road. |map|

Bring binoculars if you have them, a smile for looks, and a friendly attitude. Wear comfortable clothing and boots or shoes for hiking, but try to leave whites and bright clothes at home. Membership in Rovers is not required and beginning birders (or those curious to find out what it’s about and who does this type of thing) are welcome.

Estimated cost: $0. Max trip size: Unlimited.
