Get away from the pre-holiday mall madness with a hike at William O’Brien State Park and work off your Thanksgiving Day indulgences at the same time. Meet at the Visitors’ Center at 10:00 a.m. to plan which of the park’s 12 miles of trails we’d like to hike. Bring a trail lunch (perfect way to enjoy those turkey leftovers!), water, appropriate clothing and your 10 essentials. We’ll hike until mid-afternoon, or whenever people want to stop. If there’s enough snow, we’ll ski instead. Non-members are welcome on day trips, so bring a friend! Dogs on 6 foot leashes also welcome. For carpooling, check the Google doc.
Estimated cost: $5 park entry fee
