It’s that time of year again! Let’s #OptOutside at Crow-Hassan Park Reserve. Get outdoors to travel the over 17 miles of mixed use trails that wend their way around and through several restored prairies. Here is a link to the park map. Three Rivers has been doing prairie restoration for over 50 years, and it started at Crow-Hassan! With almost 100 wildflowers, Crow-Hassan contains one of the most diverse restored prairies in the state.
There will be two hikes: the first in the morning 10:00 to 12:00 and a second 1:30 to 3:30. Both hikes will begin and end at the parking lot. We’ll plan different routes for the morning and afternoon. Join us for either one or both.
Meet in the parking lot near the Park Entrance near Hassan Parkway & Park Drive/Highway 203 on the east side of the park. This is the parking lot with the Horse Trailhead on the park map. There are no park entrance or other fees for this Park Reserve. Carpooling encouraged.
Bring clothing suitable for the weather, water, and a snack. (Pack a lunch for the break between the hikes, if desired. Bring your leftovers!) The hikes will probably be a moderate speed. 4-ish miles in the morning and 4-ish in the afternoon.
