MN has 2% of original forest remnant and MN Rovers has adopted a remnant oak forest. Help pull buckthorn or use the weed puller to free the natives to take over! Those working at least 3 hours will get a MN Rover cap while supplies last. Bring a water bottle, work gloves, a snack, lunch, and mosquito repellent. I’ll have some gloves on hand for those who forget. Come see the progress we’ve made so far and give our forests a fighting chance. We will lead people into the woodlot at 9am and again at 12 noon. Phone reception is unreliable so if you know your way in, come any time. But if you don’t, come at 9 or 12 and we’ll make sure you have a chance to make a real difference.
Meet at 10200 Gooselake Parkway, Champlin. This is Highpoint Park. We will walk the short paved bike trail into the woodlot.
