Winter Camping — Fourtown Lake, BWCAW, Ely Side, MN

Description:

We will be car pooling on the early morning of January 13th and driving 4.5 hours to the Mudro Lake entry point. We will then snowshoe and/or ski on a winter trail to Fourtown Lake pulling our gear in with pulks. We will setup a base camp on Fourtown Lake and do day trips to nearby lakes.

We will return home on MLK Day, January 16th. This is not a beginner trip – you will need to have winter camping experience and bring all of your own winter camping gear.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Membership is required on overnight trips (except for Extravaganza and Border Route Trail work trips).

It is the responsibility of both the trip coordinators and the participants to discover and share information related to each others’ experience and capabilities regarding trip-related activities and responsibilities.

It is also club policy that waiver forms be signed by all people participating in Rover events.
