Cabin Trip to Bearhead Lake State Park

Sat - MonDec 21 - Dec 232013
  • Estimated Cost: $55
  • Deposit: $40
  • Max Trip Size: 4 people
Description:

Early cabin camper trip to Bear Head Lake State Park west of Ely. Leaving Saturday morning and returning Monday. Cabins have electric lights and heat but require that we cook outside. This cabin is suitable for a group of four and is a nice inexpensive way to experience a winter cabin trip. The cabins are located next to the campground and you can look on the Minnesota DNR website to get a good idea of their appearance. Bear Head Lake state park is a small park with approxinatly 8 miles of trail, some hilly, additional sking is probably available in Ely & the BWCA, I’ll find out more about that.

You’ll need a park car pass, yearly or just for the weekend and a ski pass which you should get in the cities. Remember this trip is very close to Christmas so have your shopping done!

Estimated cost: $55 plus transportation. Deposit: $40. Max trip size: 4.
