Camping and hiking — Temperance State Park , MN

Category: Hiking, Camping

Sun - WedJul 28 - Jul 312019
  • Estimated Cost: $14
  • Max Trip Size: 4 people
Description:

Come and share beautiful hikes along rushing rivers, view spectacular waterfalls, and enjoy some of the most splendid forests in Minnesota.

This is a 3 day camping and hiking trip. There are 3 nights – July 28, July 29, July 30 – at Temperance Lower Campground. To get three nights I booked the first night at a drive in site and the next two nights at a nearby cart in site. I plan to take 8-10 mile hikes in nearby state parks on the SHT or combinations of trails as part of my conditioning for a trip later in the summer. Please plan to bring your own food, camping gear, good hiking boots and hiking poles, water bottle, and daypack. We can check into the campsite at 4 p.m. on July 28th and check out by 4 p.m. on July 31st.

Camping cost is $58.00 divided by number of participants with maximum of 2 tents with 2 occupants in each tent so $14.00 per person if there are 4 people  – plus your transportation and your food.

Coordinator(s):
Joannie J.
