Camping, Hiking, and Biking at William O’Brien

Fri - SunOct 8 - Oct 102010
  • Estimated Cost: $10
  • Deposit: $10
  • Max Trip Size: 20 people
Description:

Come help me celebrate my birthday! I have reserved a group site from Friday, October 8 through Sunday, October 10, 2010. Plan to explore the 12 miles of hiking trails at William O’Brien or do some biking on the roads or nearby trails. (I’ll have some suggestions.) If someone would like to coordinate a hike, a bike ride, or a paddle on the St. Croix, please let me know. Added bonus – the leaves could be spectacular! We’ll provide a couple of stoves and some basic pots and pans. If you can bring a grill, please let me know. You bring your own food, snacks, beverages, plates/utensils, lawn chair, and camping gear. Tents and sleeping bags are available from the Rovers for free, but you will need to make arrangements with the cage coordinator to reserve and pick up. Rovers membership is required for this overnight trip. Beginners are welcome, and 2 spaces will be reserved until September 26 for new members who have joined in the past year. (Joining is easy and is just $25 per year.) We’ll arrange carpooling as the trip gets closer. William O’Brien is located 12 miles north of Stillwater near Marine on St. Croix. This trip is suitable for beginners and families. Estimated cost: $10. Deposit: $10. Max trip size: 20.
