Camping, hiking, paddling and chasing dragonflies at Glacial Lakes State Park. This is a family friendly trip. Members can hike the 16 miles of trails, paddle Signalness (Mountain) Lake, and, if interested, learn about dragonflies and damselflies. Members of the Minnesota Dragonfly Society have invited Rovers to participate in developing a list of dragonflies and damselflies for the Park and add to the current list for Pope County. Society members will provide nets and related materials for the dragonfly survey. Food is “bring your own” except for Saturday breakfast which will be a group meal; beverages are “on your own” (Note: alcoholic drinks are prohibited in State Parks); car-pooling is recommended; reserving campsites is “on your own” (sharing campsites is recommended, the group campsite is not available).
