Join us for a weekend of exploring the trails and lakes of Cuyuna State Recreation area in Crosby!

This former mining area was abandoned over 30 years ago and now boasts many miles of  single track mountain bike trails suitable for all abilities and 25 miles of natural shoreline that can be explored by kayak or canoe.

We’ve reserved the group site at True North Base Camp, which is new and has 14 tent sites, 7 fire pits and direct access to all of the amenities the Cuyuna lakes and trails has to offer. The group site also has access to the shower house which is located by the cabins.  https://www.truenorthbasecamp. com/

Plan to arrive sometime Friday afternoon or evening, set up camp and hit the trails or just relax. We usually find dinner somewhere in town on Friday night. Breakfast and lunches are on your own and there will be a potluck for Saturday dinner.

For those that are interested, on Sunday there is the Cuyuna Lakes Off Road Triathlon. This includes a 3-mile paddle (kayak, canoe or paddleboard) , 8-mile mountain bike ride, and 3-mile trail run. So start training and join in on the fun! All levels welcome.  Registration is $50 until March 31st and 100% of the event proceeds will benefit youth sports and activities in the Cuyuna area. https://www.cuyunaoffroadtri.com/

Deposit is $14. Estimated cost $14, plus food, gas, mileage and any registration fee if you plan to do the triathlon.
