Candlelight skiing at St. Croix State Park

Description:

Ski and snowshoe at St. Croix State Park east of Hinckley, about 1½ hours from the Twin Cities. We’ll stay at the modern guesthouse in the park and go to the candlelight ski in the evening on 2½ miles of lighted trails. We’ll meet in the park at 1 p.m. Saturday for skiing or hiking (and maybe some geocaching) and leave after lunch on Sunday. Dinner and breakfast is provided; bring your own lunch. Also bring your own bedding and towels.

A Minnesota Ski Pass is required, $6 daily and $20 annual, as well as a state-park sticker for cars.

Estimated cost: $40. Deposit: $30. Max trip size: 10.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Membership is required on overnight trips (except for Extravaganza and Border Route Trail work trips).

It is the responsibility of both the trip coordinators and the participants to discover and share information related to each others’ experience and capabilities regarding trip-related activities and responsibilities.

It is also club policy that waiver forms be signed by all people participating in Rover events.
