Category: Camping, Paddling

Thu - MonJun 29 - Jul 32017
  • Estimated Cost: $100
  • Deposit: $35
  • Max Trip Size: 8 people
Description:

The first night (Thursday, 29 June), we will camp at East Bearskin Lake campground so we can rise early the next morning, get our entry permit, and begin paddling on Poplar Lake. We will travel through Lizz, Caribou, Horseshoe, Gaskin, and Winchell lakes to a base campsite. Day trips will be taken to surrounding lakes and may include Pup, Cliff, and maybe even Brule, depending on weather and portage trail conditions. Other activities may include fishing, exploring, swimming, vista-chasing, and mindless staring. Group meals will attempt to meet desired wilderness gastronomy. Meals included in estimated total cost are breakfast on 30 June through breakfast on 3 July. Cost of travel (e.g., gas and meals) to the campsite and the return trip are excluded from estimated total cost.
