Description:

6 days in remote Quetico Provincial Park, Canada (similar to the BWCAW but with 1/7th of the number of permits allowed). We will drive to Grand Marais, go to the Grand Marais Art Fair on Sunday afternoon, and stay at the Best Western. Monday morning we’ll drive to the end of the Gunflint Trail, get a tow across Saganaga Lake and enter Quetico for 6 days of canoeing and camping with limited portages. Remote Area Border Crossing (CANPASS) needed before the trip. Each person responsible for own food and gear. This trip is for experienced campers/canoeists.

Estimated cost: $600 plus food costs. Deposit: $135. Max trip size: 4.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Membership is required on overnight trips (except for Extravaganza and Border Route Trail work trips).

It is the responsibility of both the trip coordinators and the participants to discover and share information related to each others’ experience and capabilities regarding trip-related activities and responsibilities.

It is also club policy that waiver forms be signed by all people participating in Rover events.
