Canoeing—Beginner’s Series

Description:

This is the third part of the Canoe Beginner’s Series/Preparation for a BWCAW trip and open to all who are interested. We’ll be building skills like paddle strokes and steering a canoe. We’ll put in near the pavilion at the nortwest side of Lake Como in St. Paul. We meet at 5:00 p.m. to be on the water at about 5.15 p.m. and take out at about 7:00 p.m. to be in time for the meeting at 7.30 p.m. We will try to partner up folks without canoes with those who have one. However, you may need to borrow a canoe from the cage (members only) or rent one from a local outfitter (non-members).
