Canoeing in the BWCAW

Description:

Five days of canoeing in the Ely district of the BWCAW. We will leave the cities on the evening of July 3 at 6:00 p.m. and return on Sunday evening. We will launch at Moose Lake and travel through Wind Lake into Basswood Lake, returning back via Prairie Portage to Moose Lake. Depending on where we camp in Basswood Lake, there will be one or two layover days to do as you wish. There are three portages on this trip. Group size is six. Group cooking. $50 deposit, could be more if we feel we want to have two light canoes rent two canoes, the Rover cage has Duluth packs and camping equipment.

Estimated cost: $80 Deposit: $50. Max trip size: 6.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Membership is required on overnight trips (except for Extravaganza and Border Route Trail work trips).

It is the responsibility of both the trip coordinators and the participants to discover and share information related to each others’ experience and capabilities regarding trip-related activities and responsibilities.

It is also club policy that waiver forms be signed by all people participating in Rover events.
