Drive up Thursday morning (9-10:00 a.m.) and stay at Fall Lake Campground (buy lunch on the way up and buy supper in Ely). Enter BWCAW — Fall Lake on Friday morning, canoe, do 2 portages under 100 rods, and then set up a base camp on some lake. Day trips on Saturday and Sunday plus fishing and possibly swimming. Monday: Paddle out and go home (stop for a meal). Estimated cost: $65 + gas + 3 meals out. Deposit: $30. Max trip size: 8.
