Come join us as we explore the beauty of Voyageurs National Park, International Falls& the north woods in winter! We will stay in a cozy cabin at Thunderbird Lodge on the shores of Rainy Lake, located just outside Voyageurs National park.
Activities will be weather-dependent: XC skiing, snowshoeing, exploring the lake ice& driving on the ice road on Rainy Lake, sledding, or hiking are all possibilities. There is a snowshoe hike w/a naturalist on Saturday, March 12 from 1- 3 PM. http://www.nps.gov/voya/planyourvisit/winterprograms.htm

The visitor’s center has snowshoes& XC skis available for free from 10 AM – 4:30 PM OR you can borrow from the MN Rovers equipment locker prior to the trip. http://mnrovers.org/membership/equipment
Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada is just across the bridge from International Falls. So an international exploration could be an option! Bring your Passport!
Cost $100 – 130/person + transportation. Deposit: $50.
Costs include lodging Friday& Saturday, breakfast& dinner on Saturday& breakfast on Sunday. Friday meals, lunches and snacks are on your own. Carpooling to be arranged closer to the event.
