Cross-Country Skiing, Downhill Skiing, and Snowshoeing at Giant’s Ridge

Thu - SunFeb 14 - Feb 172013
  • Estimated Cost: $100
  • Deposit: $70
  • Max Trip Size: 8 people
Description:

60k of scenic, well-groomed cross-country ski trails weave through the Superior National Forest at Giants Ridge. There is also great downhill skiing and snowshoeing. We will be staying 3 nights at the Sports Dorm, where we have reserved 2 rooms, each with 2 bunk-beds. It has a limited kitchen facility, where we will make our own breakfasts (i.e., oatmeal or cereal), sack lunches, and crock-pot dinners. One evening, we may out for dinner at the resort or in Biwabik, just a few minutes away.

Estimated cost: $100 + dinner out, ski passes, and transportation. Deposit: $70. Max trip size: 8.
