60k of scenic, well-groomed cross-country ski trails weave through the Superior National Forest at Giants Ridge. There is also great downhill skiing and snowshoeing. We will be staying Friday and Saturday night at the Villas of Giant’s Ridge. The villas include a fully equipped kitchen, and fireplace, overlooking Wynne Lake. It’s right at the resort, across the road from the Burnt Onion, so we can just walk to both the Bronze ski trail and the downhill area.
This is our fifth year doing this trip — the trails and camaraderie are just awesome!
A few highlights:
- 60k of some of the BEST cross-country ski and snowshoe trails in the state, woven through a national forest — suitable for every level of skier
- 32 downhill ski runs, 7 lifts, 202 acres, 500 ft. vertical
- One of the XC trails is aptly named the “Toilet Bowl” – you’ll know it when you ski it!
