Crystal Cave Sleepunder

Fri - SunJun 7 - Jun 92013
  • Estimated Cost: $20
Description:

Crystal Cave (Spring Valley, WI) is hosting their 2013 sleepunder! There will be caving expeditions all weekend (including commercial tours, wild caving, door-to-door trips, digging), dinner in town (at your own cost), and a bonfire. Camping is free and you can camp above ground or below.

You must bring your own caving gear. New cavers will be assigned to an experienced caver. You must be a current member of the Minnesota Speleological Survey (MSS), WSS, or Iowa Grotto (on-site memberships are available – joining the MSS costs $20/year). Cavers must follow NSS cave conservation, care, and safety guidelines. Also, please be familiar with current WIDNR rules regarding caving gear (e.g., no gear that has been used in a White Nose Syndrom (WNS) confirmed area may be used in Crystal Cave).

Please email Sarah to sign up. More details will be sent to those signed up as the date approaches.

Estimated cost: $20. Deposit: $0. Max trip size: unlimited.

Sponsoring organization: Crystal Cave, Wisconsin Speleological Society
