Join me at Minnesota’s largest scuba diving event. We will scuba dive in Lake Ore-be-gone with clear water and many dive attractions; such as a WWII fighter plane, two military helicopters, a bus, a twin-engine airplane, a car, a bicycle graveyard, transport speeders, a boat, and more. Scuba Palooza 13 includes an underwater medallion hunt (for prizes), photo hunt, kids diving Pokémon hunt, and raffle. Tickets are $35 at the event or $30 from the dive shop. There is a BBQ over lunch, tickets cost $10 for the BBQ. Gilbert has many activities available for you too: mountain biking, four-wheeling, hiking, and more.
Note: You MUST be a certified scuba diver to participate in the diving, there are no exceptions, bring your cert-card. If you have your own gear, please check/test your gear in advance. If you plan on renting gear from the dive shop, please reserve your gear (tanks/weights) early as they run out, they say, every year.
I will be camping at Sherwood Forest Campground and have a tent site reserved. All the other campsites at Sherwood Forest are booked already, so you can share my site. There are also other campgrounds as well as hotels in Eveleth/Gilbert & Virginia or you can drive up and make it a day trip if you can’t stay the night. I have space in my SUV if you want to carpool. Contact me if you want to join and we will work out the details.
