Category: Cross Country Skiing, Snowshoeing / Hiking, Downhill Skiing

Sun - FriJan 23 - Jan 282022
  • Estimated Cost: $100

Description:

Granite Peak (formerly known as Rib Mountain) in Wausau WI has reduced lift ticket prices M-F if tickets are purchased for specific dates, 20 days in advance.  There is also nice snow shoeing in the area as well as X-Country Skiing if the weather cooperates.  We will stay at a lake home about 10 minutes from the hill – no cost.  There are three queen size guest beds (one is a blow-up) so 3-6 people could stay at one time depending on sleeping arrangements.  Wausau is about 3 hours east of the Twin Cities.  Come for 2-5 nights.  Sunday night Jan 23 through Thursday night January 28.

Please let me know what nights you’d like to come and send me a deposit of $10 per night which will be used for breakfast and lunch fixings.  For dinner we can take turns cooking in or go out.  Bring your own beverages.

I will hold a spot for you for a couple of days while you send your deposit and purchase lift tickets if you’re planning on downhill skiing.

My dog will be with us.  He gets along with everyone.

For info about downhill skiing:  skigranitepeak.com. For info about snow shoeing:  Rib Mountain State Park.  Both snow shoeing and X-Country Skiing:  Nine Mile Forest

Coordinator(s):
