Join us for this first of a weekly exploration of natural areas in the St. Croix River Valley.
The Belwin Conservancy is a conservation nonprofit in Afton that is working to protect and restore land in the St. Croix Valley as well as provide educational programs. We will meet at the Stagecoach Prairie to explore the five miles of trails through native tallgrass prairie and woodlands. We’ll look and listen for migrating birds, frogs, spring flowers, and whatever else we can find! Please bring binoculars if you have them, dress for the weather, and expect to encounter ticks and mud.
Stagecoach Prairie is just about one mile south of 94 – Please note that there are two parking lots; we will meet at the north parking lot in the link below. Please contact me if you have any questions. If people are interested, we can head to a local watering hole in Afton after the walk.
