Exploring Shakespeare Country by Canal and River — Warwickshire/ Worcestershire, England

Trip FullCategory: Hiking, Other Summer Activities

Thu - SunApr 26 - May 132018
  • Estimated Cost: $1750
  • Deposit: $350
  • Max Trip Size: 16 people
Description:

Boats, Boots, Bards, and Beer: This is a two-week canal boat trip in the “Heart of England”, mostly in the counties of Warwickshire and Worcestershire. We will be passing through the cities of Stratford-upon-Avon and Worcester, as well as other interesting towns and villages.

The canal boat will be our moving base of operations, a sort of floating RV with a kitchen, bathrooms, showers and bedrooms. Each day we will cruise down the canal or river, through the lovely English countryside, for about 4-5 hours, leaving us eight to ten hours each day to explore scenic villages, ancient castles and churches, and dramatic overlooks.

Coordinator(s):
