- Max Trip Size: 25 people
Forests provide food and habitat for wildlife, and they improve air and water quality. But these beautiful areas are being compromised by invasive species. Join a Rovers Conservation trip this fall to help native plants thrive by removing buckthorn at the Minnesota Rovers’ adopted woodlot at Elm Creek Park Reserve.
Wear long sleeves, long pants, and a cap. Dress for the weather. Bring something to drink, a snack, mosquito repellent, sunscreen, your own work gloves, hand sanitizer, and a mask – and your willingness to make a difference! You will be able to remove the mask when you are working 6’ apart from others. Optional — If you want to stay for lunch and a fall hike, bring your lunch, too!
Kids age 8 and up are welcome to participate with an adult.
COVID-10 notes: Equipment will be disinfected. Carpooling is only allowed for people who live in the same household. Members are responsible for bringing their own protective equipment (mask, gloves, hand sanitizer).
Participants MUST register with the trip coordinator prior to the event.
