Description:

State Parks are busy on the weekends so join me for a Sunday through Tuesday camping trip at Jay Cooke State Park. I have reserved group camp site A for Sept 18-20. There will be hiking the Hiking Club trail and possibly part of the SHT, biking, and nightly campfires. Park trails connect to the Willard Munger State Trail on the north side of the park. We can walk on the swinging suspension bridge high above the Saint Louis River. Visit the historic cemetery and the gorge at Thomson Dam. Maybe see some fall colors?

Here are the details:
Tents only! Sites share a water spigot and vault toilets. Remote, wooded camp with walk-in sites approximately 150′ from parking area. Parking is limited. Carts are provided to carry in camping gear.

Food and beverages are on your own. I will bring a big coffee pot and a stove with fuel for heating water and a dish washing station. If you feel like it, bring a snack to share for the campfire.

Need gear? Arrange pick-up and return of equipment with the Equipment Director or Assistant with as much advanced notice as possible. Please email [email protected] your request to reserve equipment as soon as possible AFTER signing up for a trip. Include the trip name and dates, and your membership ID number with expiration date.

Hope you can join me!
