An observation point overlooks the Kickapoo River Valley.  Proposed Dark Sky Reserve.  Wildcat Mountain is about a 4 hour drive from the Cities.

Kickapoo Valley Reserve – http://kvr.state.wi.us/Home – is an 8,600-acre tract of public land located between the villages of La Farge and Ontario in southwestern Wisconsin. Its history, resources, administration, and recreational diversity make it unique.  There are miles and miles of biking, hiking and paddling.

Kickapoo River – http://kvr.state.wi.us/Documents/Maps/RecreationMaps/Canoe%20Brochure%202020%20FINAL%20WEB.pdf  –  22 miles of paddling in the driftless region of Wisconsin with dramatic river banks.  There are multiple put-ins and take-outs from Ontario to Lafarge.  Paddling outfitters are available.

A Wisconsin State Park sticker is required ($11/day, $38 annual (Jan – Dec)).

We’ll do a potluck on Saturday night.
