Henry Park Cleanup

Sat, 5:00amApr 122014
Description:

Please join me in yet another conservation opportunity! This one has become a yearly event! Meet at 8:30 a.m and park on Skyway Drive, which you get to from Highwood Ave. There are two gated drives into the park, they have told me to use the first one. They also recommended that people all park on the same side of the road as it is a narrow dirt road. Perhaps we can arrange some carpools.

Please note that this effort will be focused on Buckthorn removal, so please make sure you are prepared with:

  • Leather or heavy duty gloves
  • Safety glasses (if you don’t already wear glasses)
  • Long sleeves and pants (that you don’t mind getting dirty)

They will have some gloves and glasses on hand, but using your own stuff is always more pleasant!

The people arranging this effort will have water and snacks like apples, granola bars and cookies. Also, the St. Paul Parks typically provide coffee and doughnuts, so there will be plenty of sugar to keep the energy flowing! Please let me know if you plan on attending and if you are interested in carpooling.

Estimated cost: $0. Deposit: $0. Max trip size: N/A.

Sponsoring organization: St. Paul Parks
