- Max Trip Size: 25 people
Meet at Westwood Hills Nature Center in St. Louis Park to start hiking at 5:30. will hike 1 to 1.5 hours before Rover meeting. Pace will not be fast as I am nursing a sore knee.
Conditions: staff on Monday tell me the trails are muddy, some ice, some slushy snow, boardwalk is mostly clear. Wear footwear appropriate to that. Bring water and possibly a snack. It should be well into the 70s. You might bring a change of footwear for the meeting, incase you get muddy.
We have a Hybrid in-person and Zoom meeting tomorrow night with Steve on caving and it should be awesome. Also the weather will be in the upper 70s. I plan to hike at Westwood Hills Nature Center before the meeting there at 7. I called and talked to a staff member who hiked there today and she said it was a combination of slush, snow and mud with the boardwalk sections mostly clear. I have not hiked there before. I plan to start hiking about 5:30 and plan to hike for about an hour to an hour and a half. It will not be a fast pace as I have had some knee issues recently, and am trying to exercise it. Wear footware prepared for the shoulder season. Bring water and a snack.
Let me know if you are planning to come.
Note: No dogs are allowed on these trails, even on a leash.
