Hike, Paddle, Bike, Explore — Door County, WI

Category: Hiking, Bicycling, Paddling

Wed - SunJun 21 - Jun 252023
  • Estimated Cost: $225
  • Deposit: $100
  • Max Trip Size: 12 people
Description:

Destination: Door County WI. I have never been, but have heard about it for years. I have reserved a couple of cabins in Door County. Rover Sue did a trip there awhile ago. Here is what she had to say.

There is so much to see and do in Door County. Bring all your toys (road bikes, mountain bikes, kayaks, canoes). A few of the fun things to do include taking our bikes on a ferry over to Washington Island, hiking in the numerous state parks, kayaking over shipwrecks, or going to a fish boil. Activity researchers/coordinators would be much appreciated!

It’s about a six hour drive, so carpooling is highly recommended. Also, they charge us for extra vehicles. Lunch will be on your own. Dinners will be group potluck or going out to eat. Some equipment is available, but you need to make advance arrangements with an Equipment Director to reserve, pick-up and return items (contact [email protected]).

More details will be available on a shared Google doc, plus we’ll have a few informational meetings.

Estimated cost is $160 – $225 (excluding transportation, a WI state park sticker, and restaurant meals). You’ll need to pay for the entire trip cost regardless of how many nights you can stay. $100 deposit and current membership secures your spot. Refunds given only if your spot is able to be refilled.
