Please join us for a loop hike in the northern section of beautiful Afton State Park! The loop is about 7-7.5-miles and hilly! The plan is to go at a medium pace or more, so please be able to walk at least 3 mph (20 minutes per mile).
We will take a break at an overlook. Snacks and water are recommended.
Meet outside the Visitor’s Center HERE This is not the Ranger Station that you pass soon after entering the park. The Visitor’s Center is a few miles farther down the road where there are several large parking lots. Please allow plenty of time to drive through the park and be at the meeting location before the meeting time. We will try to leave on time. You will need a state park pass (daily or yearly). These can be purchased at the Ranger Station (not our meeting point). Please plan ahead so that we can start on time.
A limited number of dogs are welcome. Please contact me if you plan to bring a dog.
Non-Rovers are welcome if they submit the online liability waiver below.
Please send me an email or text if you are planning to come in case there are last-minute updates.
