Hiking and Biking at Tettegouche

Fri - SunAug 16 - Aug 182013
  • Estimated Cost: $10
  • Deposit: $10
  • Max Trip Size: 20 people
Description:

Join us at Tettegouche State Park for biking, hiking, and general relaxing. A group site is reserved. Come up Friday and stay until Sunday. The Gitchi-Gami Annual Trail Ride, a fundraiser for the trail, will be held on Saturday (28- and 55-mile routes). A hilly ride, it will reward you with spectacular views of Lake Superior! (Register at the GGTA site.) For those who want to do something instead of or in addition to the ride, Tettegouche has 23 miles of trails. (The Superior Hiking Trail runs through the park.)

Rovers membership is required for this overnight trip. (Joining is easy and is just $25 per year.) Beginners and families are welcome. We’ll arrange carpooling as the trip gets closer. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.

If you would like to help co-coordinate, let me know.

A few spots will be reserved through 7/26 for people who have joined within the past year.

Estimated cost: $10. (Gas, food, state park vehicle pass extra). Deposit: $10. Max trip size: 20ish.
