Description:

The trip will consist of hiking up and down hills in the St. Croix River valley. There will be a long hike of 8-9 miles and an optional shorter hike of about 3.5 miles; all will hike the first 2+ miles together. Plan to bring a small snack lunch. We will meet at 10:15 a.m. at the Visitor Center inside the park (Note: this is not the Park Office near at the entrance where fees are paid.)
If you are interested in car-pooling, please contact one of the coordinators. This activity is open to non-members. Friendly dogs are allowed.
Supplies: water, snack/lunch, hiking boots, tick/bug spray, and $5 vehicle fee or annual pass if you’re driving into the park.
An optional post-hike ice cream/socializing event will likely be held at Selma’s Ice Cream Parlour in the village of Afton afterwards.
