Category: Hiking

Mon, 11:00amJul 102017
  • Max Trip Size: 12 people
Description:

Join us on July 10 at 6 p.m. for an evening hike in Afton State Park. We’ll meet at the 50th St. entrance. We’ll hike about 5 miles and will go for about 90 minutes.

There will be more Monday evenings at different locations around the Cities for a 5-mile hike, usually about 90 minutes long with no breaks. Afterwards, continue the fun at a nearby restaurant, bar, grill, or gelato store. Events will be organized June – August, typically beginning at 6:00 PM, and will be announced at least one week in advance through (our trips page and on both the Minnesota Rovers and Twin Cities Hiking Meetup groups.
Locations may include: Hyland Lake, Battle Creek, Elm Creek, Lebanon Hills, Murphy-Hanrahan, Terrace Oaks, Lebanon Hills, Woodlake Nature Center, Mississippi River Gorge, Fort Snelling . . . possibly and urban hike in/around one of the downtowns.
This will be a great opportunity for people to learn about our club and to experience a variety of hiking trails. Anyone interested in hosting or co-hosting one of these hikes, or for more information, contact Mike O. at 651-356-5783.
