Hiking at Fort Snelling State Park

Description:

Meet in the interpretive center parking lot at 7:00 p.m. We will hike the 3.5 mile Pike Island loop that goes through the woods and follows along the river. We should finish around 8:30 p.m. We hike rain or shine, so bring your rain gear. Bring bug repellent and water also if you’d like. Note: You must purchase a state park sticker to enter the park. |map|

Directions to Fort Snelling State Park: From Hwy 5 by the airport, take the Post Road exit and enter the park at the stone gate. Follow the main road approx. 2-3 miles. The road will end in the interpretive center parking lot.
