Hiking at Tierney Woods in Bloomington

Wed, 5:00amAug 142013
Description:

Come join us for a family friendly Wednesday night hike in Tierney Woods at 8163 Highwood Dr. in Bloomington. A nice little gem that is not too far from Hyland Lake Preserve! The trail is grass/wood chips and a bit hilly (for Minnesota) in spots so putting any little ones in a pack would be better than a stroller. It is a refuge so no dogs are allowed.

Meet in the trailhead parking lot at 7:00 p.m. If you have not been to this neck of the metro woods lately there have been quite a few changes due to the 169 reconstruction. While it is nicely nestled in the corner of 494 and 169, there is no longer an exit off 169 to Highwood Dr. Your best bet if coming from the west is Marth Rd/Washington Ave/W. Bush Lake Rd. or from the east Bush Lake Rd/W. 78th St/W. Bush Lake Rd. Come share your choice of a root beer or real beer at our house up the hill from park afterwards!
