Hiking, Biking, and Paddling at Itasca State Park

Fri - MonAug 30 - Sep 22013
  • Estimated Cost: $100
  • Deposit: $50
  • Max Trip Size: 31 people
Description:

Lodging in the Hostel within Itasca State Park – across the park road from the lake where you can rent bikes, kayaks and canoes (or bring your own). Probable games or music around the campfire in the evenings or a short night hike over the headwaters of the mighty Mississippi River.

This popular trip fills quickly so 5 spots will be saved until August 15 for Rovers joining in the last 12 months. This is a cooperative trip where everyone pitches in to help with meals and cleaning. Perks such as priority registration, call-ahead bunk preference, or my personal gratitude will be given to members who volunteer to coordinate a meal or event.

Cost includes 3 nights lodging and 7 meals (what a deal!). Newer members – consider being a co-coordinator if you’d like to learn the ropes.

Estimated cost: $100. Deposit: $50 (non-refundable if there are empty beds). Max trip size: 31.
