Stay at Gooseberry Falls (http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_parks/gooseberry_falls/index.html), ride in the Gitchi Gami Trail Annual Bike Ride, and enjoy other opportunities to explore the North Shore. Arrive Friday after 4:00 pm, and hike, paddle along the lake shore, take a brisk swim in Lake Superior, or just relax in the Nestor Grade group camp. You provide your own Friday dinner, and all breakfasts, lunches and snacks. We will all bring something for a potluck dinner on Saturday night. Group gear will include stove, water kettle and washing buckets (for your dishes).

If you wish to participate, register for the August 18th Gitchi Gami North Shore Bike Ride (http://www.ggta.org/ride.php), a fundraiser for the Gitchi-Gami Trail. Ride lengths have included 28 mile out-and-back, 37-mile, 55-mile, and a shorter Family Ride option. This is a lightly supported ride with snacks and water available along the route. Bring a helmet (required) and repair kit.

If you choose not to ride, other activities include hiking, paddling, and lazing by the lake with a book!

Group is limited to 25 people, and 5 spots held until July 6th for members who have joined since July 2017.

Camp site costs approx. $10. Estimated cost includes camp site expenses plus your food/gas/etc. You must be a current member to sign up for this trip and your membership must be current at the time of the trip.

Contact Stacey for more information, to sign up, and to get access to Google docs for more information (carpooling, tent sharing, pot-luck sign up, etc).
