Description:

Enjoy all of the best that South Dakota offers in Custer State Park in South Dakota. Sights include the Black Hills, Needles Highway, Prairie Dog Town, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Nat’l Monument, Wind Cave Nat’l Park, Devil’s Tower (WY) and the South Dakota Badlands. Activities include biking the Needles Highway, hiking the vast trail system, avoiding bison herds, camping out under the stars, paddling the lakes/streams, rock climbing in the Black Hills, visiting Keystone (and Wall Drug!) … and a lot more. We will camp at the Grace Coolidge Campground in Custer SP. Trip covers six days-including Memorial Day. We will do some hiking in Badlands National Park on the way back. We will purchase group food for this trip. Please let Suresh know of any food restrictions/allergies. Trip cost estimate includes campsites, group food, gas and entrance fees. Estimated cost: $175. Deposit: $30. Max trip size: 20.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Membership is required on overnight trips (except for Extravaganza and Border Route Trail work trips).

It is the responsibility of both the trip coordinators and the participants to discover and share information related to each others’ experience and capabilities regarding trip-related activities and responsibilities.

It is also club policy that waiver forms be signed by all people participating in Rover events.
