Description:

10 DAY-NATURE AND HOT SPRINGS TOUR-COLOMBIA -THANKSGIVING 11-28-19 TO SUNDAY 12-8-19

Estimated cost $650 each, 6 Rovers

Departing from Minneapolis to Cali Colombia on Thanksgiving day. Staying in Cali 2 nights at the Hampton Inn (not included in the $650), then departing for Santa Rosa Colombia, to the Mamatina Hotel (included) close to the Termales hot springs complex. We stay 3 nights at the Mamatina hotel. There we have the opportunity to also go to Valle de Cocora, 1 hour by taxi, for hiking in a beautiful natural setting. On the 3rd of December we transfer to the Montezuma Eco-Lodge(included) at the cloud forest of the Tatamá National Park, on the Western Andean slopes. Meals are included during this Eco-Lodge stay. On Saturday the 7th, we return to Cali to the Hampton Inn(not included) and fly out Sunday.

Air fare, hotel costs in Cali plus any food and extra tours will be at the cost of each Rover but room sharing is likely. I recommend that we stay at the Hampton Inn in Cali as per the link below. It is 35 minutes from the airport and in a safe neighborhood. Your travelers may want to share a room to share costs.

Travel insurance is recommended but not included. It can be rainy in this the area we are heading to. Having a second set of shoes/sandals and good rain gear is smart. There is a $30 contribution for carbon offset through carbonfund.org included in the estimated $650 deposit. The complete deposit of $650 will reserve your place. This trip will require maximum flexibility and a sense of humor from the Rover as delays and changes can happen Travelers need to be alert when on the streets; cash is not to be flashed and cell phones are to be stashed. ?  The $650 does not include airfare.

There will be a pre-trip meeting before July to answer questions and to meet each other.

The American Airlines flight from MSP-Cali with early morning departure of 6:05 am is strongly recommended to make the connection in Miami and arrive together in Cali on time. Others travelers will need to negotiate their arrival to the hotel if their flights are different.
