Description:

We will be flying to Las Vegas and renting  cars for the week; the park is a two hour drive from LV. Expect clear skies and daytime temps 60s to 80s, nighttime temps to the mid 50s. We will be car camping at the Furnace Creek Campground, which has fire rings, picnic tables, and flush toilets! Showers and a swimming pool are available for a fee at the nearby resort. In addition to hiking, camping, stargazing, and partying, there are lots of ranger talks and sightseeing (ghost towns, old mines, volcanic craters, etc.) available.

Estimated cost is about $200 for food, lodging, and transport, plus airfare (currently about $280)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Membership is required on overnight trips (except for Extravaganza and Border Route Trail work trips).

It is the responsibility of both the trip coordinators and the participants to discover and share information related to each others’ experience and capabilities regarding trip-related activities and responsibilities.

It is also club policy that waiver forms be signed by all people participating in Rover events.
