- Max Trip Size: 10 people
This will be a rather slow walk around Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis. With the recent warm weather, the regular walking path should be cleared of snow and will be used (instead of the bike path, which is plowed and used in the winter.) The distance will be slightly under 3 miles, a good estimate is 2.8 miles. The pace will be about 22-25 minutes per mile (which is slow by most evaluations), so the entire walking time will be about 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 25 minutes, depending upon the stops. Dogs on a leash are invited, and one dog is already going.
We will meet at the parking lot on the north end of the lake by the mulch pile at the end of the parking lot. This is the parking lot where the canoe rack and kayak launch site are located.
The path is hard surfaced and should be clear and dry if not raining. Hiking poles are at the user’s discretion.
