Hiking Nicollet and Boom Islands

Description:

Meet at the stage in Father Hennepin Bluffs Park in Minneapolis (at the NE end of the Stone Arch Bridge, near NE Main and NE 6th Ave. – there should be free street parking up in the nearby neighborhood). We’ll start hiking promptly at 7 p.m, walking along the Mississippi, onto Nicollet and Boom Islands, crossing the river at the Plymouth Ave. Bridge, and heading down the other side of the river back to the Stone Arch Bridge. We’ll hike about an hour at a moderate pace. Optional: Bring money for an Izzy’s Ice Cream stop!
