Hiking, Rollerblading, or Biking at Carver Park

Wed, 5:00amJul 252012
  • Max Trip Size: 30 people
Description:

Choose your favorite activity and join us at Carver Park of the Three Rivers Park District. There are paved trials for blading and biking in the park. For those who want to bike in I can meet you at The 318 Cafe’ downtown Excelsior and leave promptly at 6:15 p.m. (dinner at this cafe could be an option). This is a clay trail and you would need to wear a helmet and bring bike lights for the ride back. For hiking, Carver boasts 25.7 miles of trails. Trails are buggy so bring protection.

We’ll meet at Lowry Nature center parking lot at 7:00 p.m., break off into our respective groups, then meet back at the parking lot at 8:00 or 8:30. Downtown Excelsior has a wonderful ice cream shop called Licks Unlimited for those who want to indulge! If rain, biking and blading will be cancelled but the hike will still be on. Bring water! Let Ron know if you plan to attend.

Estimated cost: $0. Deposit: 0. Max trip size: 30.
