Let’s hike about six miles at William O’Brien State Park on Saturday, Oct. 21
Meet at the Interpretive Center at 10:45 a.m. We will aim to starting hiking at 11:00 a.m.
We’ll go clockwise south along the hiking club trail via the Wetland Trail, Prairie Overlook Trail, Rolling Hills Savanna Trail, then backtrack .3 miles and to take the north portion of the hiking club trail back to the start.
Shorter or longer routes are possible.
The park is about 45 minutes from my home on the east side of Saint Paul. I live near I-94 and Hwy. 61. Let me know if you are interested in meeting at my house for carpooling. I can take three passengers. We’ll need to leave my place at 10:00 a.m.
Post-hike socializing options at nearby Marine on St. Croix for food and drink (Brookside Bar and Grill) and/or ice cream (Nita Mae’s Scoop or The Village Scoop).
