Willow River is one of the closest Wisconsin state parks to the metro area. Join us for a 6-mile loop hike through the park, including the spectacular waterfalls. This is a hilly route. We will meet at The Nature Center Parking Lot. Please note, this is a bit of a drive past the park office at the main entrance to the park so plan ahead to arrive on time.
You will need a WI state park pass. Yearly passes can be purchased online before you go. Please allow extra time if you need to purchase one at the park office.
Bring water and a light lunch or snacks, if desired. We will stop at the falls for a while to eat, contemplate the beautiful falls, and/or to give people time to climb up the stairs to the high view of the falls. A limited number of well-behaved dogs are welcome. Please contact me if you plan to bring a dog.
Non-Rovers are welcome! Please submit the online liability waiver below.
Send me an email if you plan to come, in case of last-minute changes! Please arrive early; we will depart promptly. I hope to see you there!
